Jr and Sr. Farewell’s

Hello Everyone, This Friday is the final Jr. Youth group which includes the wrap up party. We will meet at the church at 6 pm till 9 pm for closure, fun, games, pizza dinner (requested by the youth) and much much more. Friends are always welcome and it would be great t see all the youth before summer festivities begin! Can folks let me know about food intolerances or allergies, that would be fantastic.

Sr. Youth will be helping again this Sunday during church for the Sunday picnic. Can parents let me know if youth will be at the service on Sunday? That would be fab, so I know how many helpers I have!

Sr Youth will be meeting on Sunday night at the church for the wrap up festivities from 6-9pm for bbq, closure, fun and much much more! If you have any questions feel free to send me an email.

Jr and Sr Youth-Last weekend in May

Hi Everyone,
Tomorrow Jr. Youth are meeting from 6:30-8:30.  There has been a large request for capture the flag at Frank Hobbs, so this will be one item on the agenda.  Please bring rain gear if it is raining.  we will still play if there is a light drizzle, and if it is pouring then we will be at the church.
I need someone for snack, are there any volunteers?  Please let me know if you are able to make it.

May and June Date Changes

Usually youth is the third weekend in May, but that is May long
weekend, so both groups have been changed to the last weekend in May.  Jr.Youth will
meet on the Friday 28th (which is also family night) and Sr. Youth on the
Sunday night the 30th from 7-9pm.

For June, the first weekend falls on the same weekend as the family retreat.  Jr and Sr
youth will be moved to June 11th and 13th.  This is the last regular youth
meetings for the year.

There will be a Jr. and Sr. wrap up events sometime in June!  Stay tuned
for the date!

Hi Everyone Jr. Youth is happening this Friday night from 6:30-8:30 pm @ the church!

Yippeeeee. It will be movie night. Movie t.b.a. just checking in with captain mark about which one it should be. I think it shall be a smash hit.

Sr. Youth this Sunday Night from 7-9pm @ the church. We shall be going over “Jesus is a friend of mine” and what jesus would have on his Ipod (If he owned one)

Easter Events

Hello Everyone
It is hard to believe March is almost over!  Just a reminder about Youth Groups in April.

Sr. Youth Movie night with the congregation Friday April 2nd at 7pm at the church!

Jr. Youth Easter Vigil Saturday April 3rd 7-10pm.
Jr Youth can stay at the church an hour later or leave before then.  If each family could bring a snack item to share that would be wonderful.  There will be pizza party, easter egg hunt, peace game and many more games and reflection.  Please wear dark clothing.

Sr. Youth Saturday April 3rd from 7pm to 11:30 am Sunday April 4th.
Please bring sleepover things:
sleeping bag and pillow
toothbrush and toothpaste
any facewash, towels and so on
dark clothing

Youth will be leading the sunrise service at Smugglers Cove at 6:30am on Easter Sunday then will be at the Cadboro Bay Service at 10am.

Happy Spring Break Everyone,

I hope you all are doing well and enjoying spring break.
This is your friendly reminder about youth group this week.

Jr Youth will be meeting at 6:30-8:30 on Friday night.
Sr. Youth will be meeting from 7-9pm on Sunday night.
I need a snack volunteer for both nights and it would be great to know if folks are in town and not away for the break!

Easter is QUICKLY approaching and here are some april events.
Friday April 2nd movie night at the church for Sr. Youth with other members of the congregation.

Saturday April 3rd-Jr and Sr Youth Easter Event.  Jr Youth are invited to stay up until 10pm (they can come and go before then as well) and Sr. Youth are sleeping over and organziing the Sunrise Service the next morning.

Sunday April 4th Easter Sunday Service @ CBUC at 10am.

here is what is happening…

sr. youth have been working on some lyrics for worship and we will be looking at these and what the performance would look like… to continue on the theme of music we will be talking about what JESUS would have on his IPOD. youth are asked to bring three song titles and we will be making that into a year end keepsake. i also need a parent drink/snack volunteer for this evening. please let me know if you are able. thanks jes
